Well, I went to see my doctor and she said my cholesterol was too high so she prescribed Zocor. I h-a-t-e taking pills because of the side effects and THEY ALL HAVE SIDE EFFECTS. Jeesh. But I trust her and can only hope this will help me. So yesterday, at her office I also took my first dose of Lisinopril to address high blood pressure and this morning I begin my new pill regimen. Also, effective today my caloric intake is to be 1500 a day.Doctor's orders.Unfortunately around noontime yesterday, I was in a car wreck. No broken bones or bleeding. I am deeply grateful. The Emergency Room physician's assistant said it was mainly soft tissue, muscular impact. Jeesh. I feel sad, hurt and angry. Especially because the driver who hit me was talking on his cellphone and not paying attention. Grrrr. PLEASE...NO PHONE CONVERSATIONS ON THE ROAD...TOO DISTRACTING!!!
Anyway, this morning I also get to take 50mg Tramadol and 600mg Ibuprofen pills for pain/inflammation. Jeesh. I hate to take pills and they're adding up!
I turn this all over to my Higher Power. Bad things do happen to good people, as I've mentioned before. Today I am grateful:
- to be alive
- to have people who care about me
- to have a program that works if I work it
- to have a job
- to have a doctor
- to have insurance
- to survive the car accident
- my daughter took the supplies I had in my car to the shelter where they were needed
- to have medication as needed
- to have a Higher Power that helps me all along the way
